The two anime both feature a story centered around 1-on-1 arena fights.
In addition, the drawings and the animation are quite similar I find.
As for the main characters Oma Tokita and Levius Cromwell, we can see a quite striking similarity between them two due to the fact that they fight with a very precise objective in mind.
