Both have some degree of alcoholism and funny faces (I can't think of a better way to put it) that are so similar that I genuinely thought the same studio made both. Both are comedies, though Gokudolls is definitely dark humor while Grand Blue is more lighhearted.

grand blue is more focused on the individuals instead of a group of main characters
