Great animation quality. "Slow Start" has very fluid animation. "Bocchi the Rock" experimented with a lot of styles that worked well with the humor. They're made by the same studio (Slow Start's studio is credited in-show as A-1, but it's the team that would later form CloverWorks) and they share the same producer. You will notice some animation quirks in Slow Start evolve in Bocchi the Rock.
Both are adapted from a 4-koma source material, where a shy and introverted main character have a chance encounter with three friends that would bond together. The resulting character dynamics are great in both!
