The atmosphere (battles and other) is quite similar with villains popping out and a black/red-haired girl intruding on the days of an innocent male.
The main male character meets a girl with extraordinary power, both anime are very similar in some way that i can't really explain it ><!
Very similar. At first I thought it was done by the same studio, but I was wrong. Now a "ordinary" guy meets a girl with supernatural powers. In Shakugan this "ordinary" human, Yuuji, is the compartment of the Reiji Maigo, in Kurokami it is yet unknown what role does Ibuki Keita plays, but he "isn't a ordinary human" like Excel says on episode 4. The girl with supernatural powers is forced to stay near the human boy. In Shakugan because Shana has to keep a eye on the Reiji Maigo and in Kurokami because if Kuro doesn't stay close to Keita her fighting abililies

Oedinary guy meets a supernatural girl and at some point they start to fight together. Similar atmosphere
Both are about a male who get's caught up in trouble because of being around a strange godlike girl. They both are fairly action packed as well.
Boy & Girl partners in the quest of justice, and some lovey-dovey stuff
Both anime share the same types of characters : Tsundere with high power and an lonely boy.
Both anime share a lots of rebound in the story and high fighting rhythm.

They have too similar stories. A guy runs into a girl with red hair who is not really human. He finds out that he is not real from her and then the go on a journey to save the day. The fact that Shana and Kuro don’t seem to have any shame or knowledge of regular social female behavoiur. I was almost confusing the stories that is how similar they are.
Both consists of a main character who's a guy. He meets a special girl with fighting abilities, both very powerful. The guys are somehow bonded to the girls, forced to, and they help fight enemies and such. there are also romantic moments.
Kurokami and Shakugan no Shana are very alike, Shakugan no Shana might be a bit better, but if you want more, go watch Kurokami
The both seem to have the same idea around them, both end up having magical powers and have to fight stronger people, Both have partners that use there own life/power to help the other.
