Somali to Mori no Kamisama

Both surround themselves around a special human who deserves and needs love and support. Both are in fantasy worlds where supernatural creatures abound. Both are super sweet and heartwarming. And both are based on relationships that are pure of heart.
A young and vulnerable girl by fate meets a very old non-human whom acts as her guardian.
The main characters in both series are kinda similar and their relationship reminds of each other. In both series there is the older male character who takes care of the young female character.
In Mahoutsukai no Yome their relationship is more romantic as in Somali to Mori no Kamisama it´s more like daughter and father kind of relatioship.
Another fantasy series with BDE (big dad energy). I really felt the similarities where the unfeeling father figure would touch their chest and ask the human to explain the feelings they are currently feeling.

they both have the same fantasy feel and they're both about a big non-human dude and a human girl (one's about romance and the other not tho)

These series bear closely resembling themes being that they both share similar MC dynamics featuring a young human girl and a drastically older creature lacking in their conception of humans interating with a vibrant fantasy setting whilst going about their lives/journey.

In both we follow a young human girl who is found by chance by an old non-human who takes them under their wing. Throughout the story of both we watch as the guardian learns through their experiences with the MC, and growing attached even when that was not the plan.
Though, the bond is more romantic in Mahoutsukai no Yome while it stays a father-daughter relationship in Somali to Mori no Kamisama.

Relationship bonding, mythical creatures, figuring out oneself. Two animes with different plots, but with a similar slice-of-life feel. Somali is an anime based on a mythical creature going against its nature to do the right thing, while Mahoutsukai is an anime where the mythical creature is still trying to figure out its purpose. Both are equally very relationship based between the two main characters, and we get to see as they develop emotionally and physically with each other. They're not too over the top, so they're good if you're looking for a calm and easy-to-watch anime. They're very wholesome.
