But the two series share the story of an encounter between a teenage girl who is attending or should attend high school and a full-grown man. Both series narrate the encounter of a young girl and an adult, where some hints of romance can be seen.
The shows are similar in the aspect of a teenager trying to get close to an adult. There is more focus on the characters for both anime but After the Rain is more of a character-driven story than a romance one. I would definitely recommend giving After the Rain a chance.

Both involving love, and age difference. Also, both really wholesome sometimes.

Romantic series about an adult man meeting a high school girl. What happens next is completely out of the loop as they don't know if the relationship they have is as friends or as lovers. What to know what happens next? Then why don't you head out and see for yourself!

Both shows are about a teenage girl falling for a guy that is older. The age gap in koi wa ameagari no you ni is bigger but in both shows the older guy draws a clear line between what is appropriate and what is not with the younger girl. The male leads in both shows are really just nice normal guys and the girls are both very charming.
