Just Because!

Very similar animes. Tsuki ga Kirei could be seen as a version of Just Because! in middle school. Besides having the same atmosphere, the romance type is very close to the one observed in Just Because!. They seem very realistic and not sometimes overly comic and silly.
The pace is very comfortable where there is no redundancies that'll make the story boring. It captures the viewer from the start until the end. The innocence of the characters in Tsuki ga is very notable. Probably its what it makes better than Just Because! where they are older.
Calm, nice and very cozy school romance dramas.
Tsuki ga Kirei feels like Just Because! but with a younger cast. Similar colors, lighting, and mood. It focuses more on a single couple, whereas Just Because! focuses on more of a love pentagon. But are believable and fun to watch. Similar music in both as well.
- Both are original works
- Both set on 3rd year students environment, though different grade
- Both have semi-realistic school romance
- Both have cute and pleasant vibes
- Both are quite slow paced, tsukigakirei is slower
- Both show anxiety, loneliness regarding graduation moment
- Both will remind you of your past school days
Both anime give a pleasant vibe...while watching the ep 1 i felt this gonna be as good as tsuki ga kirei ...no ...more than it the school..drama..romance..these are similar.
both tsuki and because talk about a group of characters and the development of their love life. Tsuki as a slower pace and we only follow a single couple (althought both have a love triangle)
Both are slice of life and are set in high school (both in the last year of high school)

Similar atmosphere revolves around school love life
and also a love triangle
Similar school atmosphere along with proper romance that both does not stall until the last few episodes before developing relationships.
Just Because! has a greater sense of realism compared to Tsuki ga Kirei's lighter atmosphere, but both converge towards the same audience and both have a rather heartwarming story for romance, school and slice of life fans.
To simply put it: TSUKI GA KIREI SEASON 2! just watched the first episode and I couldn't stop getting those Tsuki ga Kirei vibes. The characters seem somehow similar and the art is almost identical and it's both a calm and nice beautiful school romance story :)
Both are about school life and romance, but in a soft and realistic way, what makes the animes pleasant to watch. The pace is slow, so it's possible to know and feel like the characters.

The second original romance anime of this year, with central theme of using LINE (like the Japanese version of Whatsapp or Wechat mobile social networks). Up till now, Tsuki ga Kirei has better execution and character development in my opinion, but Just Because is more if not too dramatic in comparison.

It is funny how both animes gave me the same déjà vus of the mistakes and events that happened when I started dating my first girlfriend. What I love the most about these animes, and why I specifically recommend this anime over others is because of the LINE live messages that the characters send each other, a reminder touch of how attentive we were to her/his messages.

Both are slow paced romance anime with similar school setting. Enjoy!
These two anime are definitely similar in many ways. However, Tsuki ga Kirei has a much more fulfilling ending as compared to Just Because.
Im very conflicted in deciding which one was better. The endings of these two anime gave me a bittersweet feeling and left me longing for more.
(Rated both 9/10)

"Just Because!" is like "Tsuki ga Kirei", except with older characters (high school) and with a bit more of a focus on the whole main friend group instead of just the main couple.
Oh, and also another great difference is that "Just Because!" doesn't have terrible random CGI scenes like "Tsuki ga Kirei". That should be enough of a reason to give it a try!
slow pacing , school anime , not a very talkative main character , heart warming love story , no exaggerated comedy
If you like true love anime, then Just Because would suit you =)))) I mean.... last year of school, romantic, etc Both anime is kind of like the same. I pretty like them

Both anime have this realistic feel and similar atmosphere. Both anime takes place in 3rd grade (middle school in Tsuki ga Kirei, high school in Just Because!). Both are great romance anime. If you like one of these, you might like the other one.
Both Tsuki ga Kirei and Just Because adapt school romance in a really cute and I would say a realistic way, considering how school romance works in Japan.
The two started when the girl and the boy slowly fell with each other but when the time came when they have to choose their school, (the difference is Tsuki ga kirei was during their Middle School while Just Because! was during their highschool) they did everything to be with the person they love, in the end, it's a happy ending
I support the Just Because! recommendation to an extent I guess. It obviously follows the trend of a more grounded/realistic relationship, this time with a slightly bigger cast of characters that the story follows versus the main two. What's kinda holding back this immediate recommendation is that there's a very different style of pacing between the two, and I think if you're watching for a more grounded romance then Just Because! is definitely for you, but if you're looking for that pacing that is found in Tsukigakirei then you probably wouldn't enjoy Just Because! all too much.

TEXTING
Lots and lots of it, the entire plot essentially revolves around it. Having it primarily developed and depicted all but with a cellphone to tell.
But despite that, both series are honestly excellent, giving the relaxing vibes even if it highly depends on its dramatic aspects while being realistic at most. Additionally, speaking of drama, the said aspect is properly established wherein it doesn't feel forced nor illogical. As I said, it feels realistic, and I am glad I've watched these two. Give it a try and you might like it as well.

Just Because can be seen as the highschool equivalent of Tsuki ga Kirei.
Both these shows are really realistic and relatable and will have you constantly reminding yourself of your days in middle school or high school.
The anxiety and awkwardness is more evident in Tsuki ga Kirei, but is still present in Just Because.
Both of these revolve around school relationships and romances, and both do include love triangles.
The use of LINE is much more apparent in Tsuki ga Kirei, than in Just Because, but LINE still plays a crucial part.

Both are very wholesome love stories that you can relax just by the atmosphere. Characters are so pure and innocent. Both are mostly happy stories. Colors used in just because is more melancholic, which i like but tsuki ga kirei has much more better art style.
These animes both shown romance in natural and realistic way that depicts on how feelings conveyed to each other. With no source material adapted, both are most debated original romance animes way back in 2017.

It is a very beautiful realistic love story, which has a different approach from other romances, you take care of the characters and it will make you release different feelings when you see
Tsuki ga kerei is same as just because. Tsuki ga kerei based on middle schoole romance while just because based on high school romance.

Beautiful animation, and great romance! The flavour of love is served in a calming way. It seems childish, but a good watch for calming yourself.
The atmosphere of these two anime are very similar. So calm and quite. The characters are not over the top and are realistic. In terms of story, even though Tsukigakirei is superior, Just Because have a more complicated relationships. Tsukigakirei shows a more innocent and wholesome middle school romance while Just Because shows the chaotic relationships in High School.
