They are shows focusing on humans taking care of small creatures, that are meant to be more cute.
PriPri Chii-Chan!! is more about the cute and funny situations both the girl and the creatures have, as well as all the different characters with distinct personalities that they meet.
"How to keep a Mummy" meanwhile takes a better look at it's group of human characters and creatures. It's a lot more grounded and tries to take a look, at what these creatures would eat/do/what kind of abilities or personalities they have and more. Plus, it does have a little more drama with each of the main human characters.
