Kaichou wa Maid - Sama! is similar to Special A because of two main couples in each of these anime. In Kaichou wa Maid - Sama! There is Ayuzawa, Misaki and Usui, Takumi. Ayuzawa is very strongminded, and always tries to protect the girls in her school which was recently made co-ed. She tends to frighten the boys at her school with her quick temper, and masculine adrenaline. However, her character changes when she is discovered by a classmate Usui, that she works as a cute little maid in a cafe shop, where it mainly entertains male genders. Usui promises to keep her

Both have the same atmosphere. Guy is trying so hard to let the girl know that he loves her, yet she does not know her own feelings and is clouded by rivalry. Both are very Good Anime!
Both series are about a boy and girl who are on top off the class. This forms a bit of rivalry but also a close bond. In both the series the boy falls in love with the girl and tries to make her see that. If you're in for a romantic comedy, this is just your show!

Romatic comedies about girls with strong personalities, who "compete" with a bit eccentric, but handsome boys and later fall in love with them
Male protagonist who is always a step ahead of the heroine + romantic feelings
They have the same atmosphere. Where a strong, smart (yet ditzy when it comes to love), independent female with financial problems (tho they are NOT damsels in distress) and a smart, strong male who has a unique way of showing his love come together in everyday situations. Its a cute, comedy, high romance =]
Ps. the females are such good cooks lmao XD
#2 wants to beat #1... #1 falls in love with #2... #2 is clueless... they all lived happily ever after

Similiar rivalry, romance, school drama setting.
Replace maids with elite student council.
both are a slice o life with school surroundings. both female characters look alike and have similar personalities of the 'never give up' kind that try to do things on their own. but are always protected/assisted/or challenged by the male character. both are great animes that are worth checking out. if you like one of them, your bound to like the other. (:
Similarities:
*Both have a very strong heroine GIRL ofcourse there are a lot of strong heroine girls but I find these particulary similar
* As mane girls, mane boys too are VERY similar, maybe Special A's one is more interested in love and is going towards it
* If you extremely enjoy any of these the other one will be just the right decision
* Both are heart warming and has a love story were ofourse girl is rejecting the guy because she has this wild and determined temper
VERY NICE! ;D
Girl tries to prove she's better than boy. Boy likes girl. Girl is oblivious to Boy's love to the point where you wonder if she's messed up in the head because it's so obvious.

Both animes have strong, hard-working and independent females as the lead roles.
The lead male protagonists and their relationships are also very similar. They are both the coolest and most popular boys at their school, and they both stand out from the other guys. At first they are rivals, with the male protagonists being the only ones that can beat them at anything. And the lead females are also oblivious of their romantic feelings.
the story develops between the rich and the poor.
and the story line is most likely the same
In both anime the male and the female both have the same characteristics for example in both anime the male is "number one" and the female is "number two", they male beats her in everything, the male is always saving the female, and the female is somehow always good at fighting.., while i was watching Kaichou wa Maid sama i had a slight feeling of i watched it before untill i thought of Special A!
If you watched Special A! i highly recommend you watch Kaichou wa Maid sama, or the other way around. hope you enjoy!

This is similar to special a, because the main female protagonist of both anime is hardworking, poor, and is somehow involved with an 'inhuman' (they're human though) guy. The anime design is pretty much about the same with different plots. Both main male protagonists are rich too. I also recommend the manga.

Both has a male lead with blond hair who are totally perfect in all aspects, haha.
kei and usui give off the same kind of feel like they were ment to resemble one another personality and look wise the girl they both are in love with are both clueless and do not except them as anything other then rivals they can not beat. kei and usui are also similar by the way they both risk everything to protect the ones they love its also has the same comedy feeling were the guys also sexually harasse the girls

Special A is very identical to Kaichou wa maid sama. Both anime revolve around high school students, with the male lead being the best in whatever they undertake, popular with the ladies, and yet are only interested in the female lead. The female lead, on the other hand, are hard working, trying to defeat the male lead in each and every task possible, and remaining dense about love till the last few episodes of the series. Either of the anime, though similar, have their own appeal.

If you liked one, there is a good chance that you will like the other

The personalities of the main characters are the same. Both achievers, both the story between the rich and the poor.
Both series are very alike:
-Both MC's end up falling in love
-Both MC's don't realize that the male MC is in love with them
-Both have romance/comedy
-Both MC's like to fight
-Both MC's are dense
-Both MC's go to school
The story is pretty similiar and if you liked the mc in maid sama that's usui you will definetly like kei from special A. Both of them are the cool, awesome arrogant type and the female mc is also very similiar.

they're both have high school romantic, comedy. the art and the story is very close.
Both are amazing shoujo romances with bad*ss main female leads. The main male leads are both gorgeous and amazing, and you can't help but love the characters in both. They both take place in a school seeting, and they both have an amazing plot filled with romance.

Similar plot, setting and character archetypes. Both set at a school with a popular 'perfect in every way' guy and a tsundere girl as the love interest. Both main female characters hate to be second or lose to the guy.

They're both very similar because they come with a high school setting, and the male going "head over heels" with the girl. Super funny and entertaining. Spoiler: BOTH WILL MESS WITH FEELINGS!!!!!!!

These both Animes are similar because they both have a main girl character who are really similar to each other and a main boy character who are similar to each other. They both are Comedy, Romance, and School. I think you will love it!!
Both show have a strong female lead. They both have a rival in which they cannot defeat no matter how hard they try.
the male mc is cold harted to anyone other than his friends, cool, strong, perfectish.
the female mc is strong, thickheaded, violent, yet nice to everyone.
funny romantic scenes.
poor female mc in a "rich people" envirenment
all this exists in both shows
Similarities between Kaichou wa Maid-sama! and Special A:
★ Character Lives: Both female protagonists desires to work hard so they can achieve something they really want.
★ Character Personalities: Both female and male protagonists have very similar personalities. Both female leads are very strong and independent, and takes on their role very seriously. The main male leads also appear to be very protective over the female leads when they act cute to other males. Both female leads also refuse that they're in love with the male, due to their role as school president and being rivals. Both female leads also take their studies and education

Let´s put it simply- Characters, Storyline, Art, Genre, if you liked one, you literally have to ( or more like should if you want more ) see the other one too.
They are both similar in main character. The male lead are talented, handsome and rich while the female lead is strong and poor (not that “poor”) and they work hard. This two anime are both romance, school life and shoujo. So they are so similar.
These two series have a very similar feeling to them. The female main characters in both have pretty similar personalities and traits, and the male interests also share in a relatively similar situation.

Maid Sama! and Special A are so similar in many ways.
Misaki (Maid Sama!) and Hikari (SA) are both from poorer backgrounds. Both are capable of fighting and self-defence, have good grades and are admired by lots of people in their school. They are always trying their best to do better than ever.
However, Usui (Maid Sama!) and Kei (SA) are in their way to reaching 1st in the cohort. No matter what the girls do, the boys somehow do it even better effortlessly.
Despite this, the girls keep trying their best to outshine the boys.
What the girls don't know is that the boys

Both have a strong female protagonist who loves competing. But, there is a male friend/lover who likes the female protagonist and wants to protect them. The female protagonist does not realize that the male protagonist likes them and ends up competing against them to see who is better. Over time, both the male and female protagonists grow and realize what love means to them.
Both Kaichou wa Maid-sama and Special A have similar characters. Hikari from Special A and Misaki from Kaichou wa Maid sama have very similar personalities in that they are both physically and mentally strong. They are all rounders however Hikari is more oblivious and naive to Kei's love than Misaki is to Usui's love. Both of them cannot cook as well. ;) Kei and Usui are also similar as in they both are better than the female lead and they both are protective of them. I would say Special A has other storylines associated with the side characters which makes it entertaining to watch, not

if you like you (rom/com high school) anime like kaichou wa maid sama then you can enjoy Special A as well. Both the stories are set in school background and similar rich-poor male-female lead respectively. Both the female leads are mentally and physically strong. And the laughs are the same amount you would get in maid-sama. HaVe FUn!
-The female leads are very similar
-The male leads are very similar
-They both give me the same feeling
-The male leads are both sort of protective and jealous but Usui is more outspoken about it
Both have strong female protagonists who do not need the male leads to save them all of the time. Both of the main male leads are also rich and fall in love with the female protagonist first.
both similar as the protagonist is the girl and the boy is somewhat more skilled o something like that probably the same genre aswell
literally the same plot! girls both want to surpass the guy in skill and the guy is rich n powerful.
both girls are dense asf and yeah basically the same but theyre both good in my opinion
▶ genre: romance, comedy, shoujo
▶ setting: school [mostly]
▶ both main protagonists, in their respective show, are considered a power couple
▶ both main male protagonist come from wealthy families [and are incredibly good at everything they do]
▶ both main female protagonist are stubborn [also insanely good at everything they do]
▶ both have a relatively similar art style
Maid Sama has all of the best elements of Special A, while being a vastly superior show. The plot, character interactions, and character development are quite similar, but in every respect, Maid Sama is clearly superior.
Usui and Kei excel at everything without effort, defying the laws of physics. While Usui's excellence is constantly subverted, Kei's unparalleled skill constantly reflects his superiority to the rest of the cast. Usui's attempt to save a damsel in distress by climbing a building and kicking down the window is hilariously undone when she tears apart the handcuffs restraining her and subjugates her captors. Usui jumps off the roof of

An amazing comedy romance with a stunning mc and lots of comedy infused in between the characters relationships
Many similarities between main couple. Both have strong female lead and overcaring, popular boy.
The leads from both these animes cannot be more similar to each other. Granted Maid Sama is much much more popular than the other. However, I can guarantee that Special A gives the same sorta vibes that you got from Maid Sama. Just sort of a fun relaxing romcom that keeps you entertained in the afternoon.
Kaichou wa Maid-sama! and Special A are very similar because of the main couples/characters in these animes. Kaichou wa Maid-sama! and Special A are both romantic comedies placed in a school setting with almost identical character development between the couples. They both have an amazing romantic build up all the way through to a perfect ending to wrap up the story.

Similar plot & characters.
Maid Sama was actually inspired by Special A.
Even some scenes are pretty similar to each other. (Including maid mama manga!)

The two main characters of each have similar dynamics. Special A is pretty much a mix of Kaichou wa Maid-sama and Ouran Koukou Host Club (Ouran Highschool Host Club). Although in my opinion, both Maid-sama and Ouran are a lot better than Special A.
