Both have this mysterious aura where it makes you think for yourself instead of spelling it out for you. And both are messed up in their own ways
A duo immersed in an extremely dangerous world. They go through obstacles of all kinds and end up in many situations where they risk a slow and painful death. Interesting secondary characters dealing with a method to achieve a safer world
This anime gave me the same sense of mystery, exploration, intrigue and mystery as Made in Abyss did. The addition of mysterious creatures/monsters that are a threat is also similar. Characters are also well thought out and have gripping stories that makes them and the world feel alive.
I would say that you should watch Made in Abyss if you liked the entire mood and vibe of Tengoku Daimakyou.
