Both Made in Abyss and To your eternity are great unique stories unique/interesting characters, full of surprises and also tragedies To your eternity is the saddest one but after watching season 2 you'll understand that its not always the happy part of the stories its all about how you understand that attachment leads to suffering people come and go To your Eternity is also somewhat similar to Maquia when the promise never bloom

If you liked To Your Eternity because of the powerful moments which made you bawl your eyes out. Then Made In Abyss might just be for you. - Both shows cover the theme of loss and learning to come in terms with the truth. - Both Shows explore what it truly means to be human, both literally and figuratively. - Both shows have incredibly sad moments and characters that you easily get attatched to, before they get sent off. They are both fantastic adventure anime that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. They both have amazing worldbuilding and complex characters. The main difference is that MiA is focused more on the journey while FnAE is focused more on the destination.

Both are an emotional journey, Fumetsu no Anata is a more emotional then made in abyssbut the whole journey of discovery, emotionally damaging, and fucked up moments are still there, def recommend!
