Differences:
-To Love ru has A LOT more fan service
-Ano Natsu is more serious and focused on the romance element
-To Love ru has a more harem-based approach, whereas Ano Natsu focuses on love triangles/squares/pentagons/etc.
-Ano Natsu has more of a progression in plot than To Love ru. To love ru's plot is relatively unconnected - if you skip a few episodes, you haven't really missed out on any plot.
Both are about a alien girl who comes to earth and falls for a average guy and both have forces trying to bring the girl home and both have the guy fighting for her and both are Harrems(Ano natsu is not as much of a harem as To love-ru).Ano natsu de Matteru is more of a drama/slice of life and can be somewhat slow at times where To love-ru is a ecchi/comedy which can be overwhelming at times but overall both are enjoyable.
