Death Parade

Playing around the theme of death, they both start off as seemingly episodic only to dive into more personal stories later on. A lot of your enjoyment will either come or go depending on your opinion on the main character(s), but if they aren't up your alley, a good deal of others probably will carry some of the episodes for you. Both shows aren't exactly fast-paced, the tempo seems to fluctuate while mainly staying around slower sections. Best watched one or two espidoes at a time.

Both (episodic format series) talk mostly about the feelings of the dead people. And both also talk about themes like suicide.
Both shows encompass the themes of life and death, and have a rather slow tempo in terms of storytelling, with the overall narrative being a mix of episodic and plot-driven parts with copious amounts of drama and emotion. Both lead characters are also very withdrawn socially and emotionally most of the time. Death Parade is rather initially deceptive with its first impressions, though.

Both deal with the theme of life and death, and are mostly episodic in nature. Each episode usually focuses on one or two characters that are only seen in their respected episode, much like Shigofumi. Death Parade also has a continuing arc focusing on the main characters as the individual storylines happen throughout each episode.
Death Parade is a personal favorite, and I think anyone who enjoyed Shigofumi would love Death Parade.
Both focus around a reserved lead taking those who are departed into their respective afterlives and a glimpse into their pasts before they have died too.

Each episode focus on different characters through situations related to the supernatural and the afterlife, during which those characters might grow and learn to deal with things that they previously couldn't. They are pretty dark and serious shows, with a very heavy tone, but the main characters have really cool designs and personalities that help with keeping it all entertaining.
Dead man's final act. Shigofumi and Death Parade both feature dead people as a base to their stories in episodic plots on dead people's final actions.
Shigofumi follows Fumika and her job to deliver a dead person's Shigofumi to someone alive, in this, she witnesses people's reaction to such letters. Death Parade also has an episodic layout, though, they are based on two dead people playing deathly games with each other, spiralling down to show their true colours.
Both are interesting dark psychological thrillers anime based upon what final actions will said person do.
