Slice-of-life comedy filled relaxing anime. Doing everyday activities with friends like what they would write, "cute girl doing cute things".
While Hinako Note was doing things related to Drama, Slow Start I think was more general....

Animes whose main girls are new-girl-in-town and have several difficulties to open themselves to their new classmates/friends. Hana from Slow Start is because she got sick and forced to miss a year, Hinako from Hinako Note has tremendous difficulties to even mantain a simple conversation.
The landladies which the MC live are soft spoken, well-endowed and are very helpful with the main cast. In SS, Shion is related to Hana, while Chiaki is not.
From the rest, there's the loli girl (Kamuri and Mayuri), the weird one (Tama-chan and Kuu-chan), and the upbeat one who is attracted to an older girl (Eiko and Yua).
