These shows are both set in a post-apocalyptic world wherein they have to fight against invaders. In Darling in the FranXX you have the Klaxosaurs and in Suka Suka there are Beasts.

Both are apocalyptic, both have a tragic love story, similar art styles. Darling in the Franxx has a much more aggressive heroine, both heroine's are incredibly powerful, while the MC is mainly a guide/tool for the heroine.

Well it is Si-FI/Romance and yes, the ending is very heart touching. Well most people won't get the proper story from the start because really, I didn't. You might think that this is something like other fantasy anime where the MC is a legendary badass and gonna destroy every evil in the world, but trust me, this is no trash like that. This is one of the most beautiful anime I have ever watched. Well, the last episode is the best. Happy watching...! ; )
