If you liked Kino's Journey, then you will definitely enjoy Violet Evergarden. Albeit, the two series and main characters have some important differences, but both stories are set in a slice-of-life format and in cool semi-modern worlds. Kino is definitely more impartial and nihilistic than Violet, though both start at basically the same point.

One of the prettiest animes I have ever seen. The characters are all great, and the world feels very alive. It feels surprisingly chill, despite the backdrop of the war, and the trauma experienced by the MC. Violet herself is a very compelling character as well. The music is, as well, beautiful, and very fitting.

-Both series revolve around an expressionless yet strong female protagonist (Or is Kino non binary I can't remember...) -Both have beautiful animation -Both have interesting and unforgettable stories and characters -Both have bits of violence here and there but are mostly fantasy slice of life -Both have moments that make you say: "wtf" -Both are based on light novels -Both protagonists are attractive teen girls in my opinion uwu Have fun yall

In Violet evergarden as well as in Kino no Tabi, you go on an adventure with the main character. Violet and Kino both share a rather tragic backstory and envolved to be a cold type of character. As you follow their journey, you get to learn about different people and their motives and storys, which can get really sad sometimes.
