Both are absurdist gag comedies in which every character has a punny name and is based on some sort of anime stereotype, meant to parody them

Can't believe this is so far down here, but both feature a cast of crazy characters that have fun times in school, with Saiki and Tadano being the cool/normal guys in all the chaos.

Both take place at school, characters are similar, both give the same vibe.

Both shows share genres and normalities, Komi-san has very vibrant side characters, which you can choose to find very entertaining or rather annoying, exactly like in Saiki K, where every character is an exaggeration of their respective archetype. Komi-san tends to lean more towards the romance side than Saiki K does, which I think is done better than Saiki K, while both are repetitive; Komi-san was more captivating, Saiki K being a more casual viewing experience for comedy lovers, more than Komi-san.

Both are set in high school and have alot of unique characters with different personalities who all interact with the main character(s) and add alot of the comedy throughout the show.

a similar type of humor and a similar cast of characters that you'll either love or hate

Japanese high school setting with wacky antics.. Every student in both of these anime is absolutely insane (& gay) and I love them to death. <3

Komi has a similar gag with the side characters being completely over the top, unrealistic satires of different archetypes. I haven't finished the series yet, but certain aspects remind me a lot of Saiki, and they have a similar episodic structure. However, for me, the comedy is Komi doesn't land nearly as often, and the main draw of the show is more Komi and Tadano's relationship. Still, it's worth checking out if you enjoyed Saiki.
