Rom-coms with a delinquent MC that deals with supernatural phenomenon which allowed the main characters to interact. Since both shows share a similar type of MC (delinquent with a "tough outside, soft inside" personality), the interactions in both series shows similarities. These two shows also have similar type of "classic rom-com anime" comedy. The romance also gets concluded by the end of each shows.

I truly enjoy the romance genre and I love when a show breaks out of the common mold and adds a fun supernatural element to the romance.
Midori no Hibi and Yamada-Kun are similar because they both contain a male lead that is a "tough guy" who has a rarely seen soft side and a shy girl who is brought together with the tough guy through a Supernatural way.
I love both of these shows because they show a great connection between the two leads and it is really nice seeing their romances blossom in a comedic and Supernatural way.
