Firstly, the story of the protagonist of Kenja no Mago and most of the other characters of that show takes place in a magic academy just like Rokudenashi.
Secondly, in the first episode, the MC encounters 2 female characters in the streets of a city, just like in Rokudenashi. This trope of MC encountering 2 girls in the first episode is a trope I've seen constantly in some other fantasy anime, like in Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majustu too ( Rem and Shera ).
