Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudou-bu

Both are slow paced sports anime with a focus on friendship, struggling to bond with teammates and realizing why one does the sport he chose as a little kid. The best friend pair of the main characters and how their friendship works is similar too.
Both main characters excel at their respective sports. Both anime focus on the friendship between main characters. Oddly I find both anime to be soothing, like a slice-of-life anime.
