Both shows have incredibly cute toddler-range girls who make extremely silly faces. The girls and their affinity for their parents and making them happy are super similar!

I'm surprised this isn't recommended. The anime are extremely similar - A single father raising a daughter and a female character becomes part of the family. Both the daughter and the female characters look very similar in both anime, and the latter is voiced by the same actress/seiyu.
