Both anime are about a dad taking care of their daughter. Both are somewhat food-centric and have a lighthearted and heartwarming style.
Both series feature a single dad, and daughter....Plus both are part of Prime minister Shinzo Abe's plan for getting people in japan to have kids featuring adorable daughters who are the main focus of the plot.

Amaama to Inazuma is essentially the less fantasy version of Uchi no Ko no Tame naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai. And in my strong opinion, more heartwarming with more relatable characters and developmental storyline showing different faces of the characters.
