Just Because!

High School Life. Honest-to-goodness high school life with friends, transfer students and a healthy dose of not-so-straightforward romance mixed in. If this is your cup of tea, then by all means go for either show. Orange does have a little bit of a sci-fi setting (and a good deal more drama because of it), while Just Because has a perfectly normal setting.
Lots of drama between a similar cast of characters. There's lots you could compare about each friend group. If you enjoyed the group dynamic of Just Because!, and want to see it in a bit more of a (very slightly) supernatural premise, Orange is a good pick. There are massive plot-holes in the main story of Orange, but if you can overlook that and enjoy it for what it is, it is very comparable to Just Because!. The script/dialogue in both are also very good. Sometimes they have similar directing styles too, with good uses of framing and repeated shots.
