Both series showcase the surroundings and local culture of a particular city, specifically a prefecture of Japan (Kagawa Prefecture for Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari & Kyoto Prefecture for Deaimon) quite elaborately. They also show the gradual development of the responsible relationship between two main characters, despite not being related to each other.
