both are slice of life anime that have a focus on parenting.
moe for adults
will make you think at times think "ah, maybe i should be a parent". in real life, don't fall for it, actual parenting is much harder than what these anime depict - they only depict the upsides of parenting and rarely any of the downsides.
A single male looking after a young child.
There are hardships that follow them but they get through it as the shows progress and becomes a rather heartwarming experience with food being a main topic as well.
Udon aired the season after Amaama did so at the time I watched both whilst they were airing, they felt very interchangeable.
Main difference is that the young one in Amaama is the MC's biological daughter whereas Udon's young one is a mythical being the MC decided to look after.

Both anime are about a grown man raising a young child and have 'food' as their secondary theme.
Also the man in both Amaama and Udon no Kuni happens to be voiced by the exact same guy.
The main difference in these two anime is, that Udon no Kuni has some supernatural elements by having the child be a Tanuki who transformed into a boy, whereas in Amaama, the child is the man's own child.
- Main character voiced by Nakamura Yuuichi
- Fluffy child
- Both main characters have to take care of fluffy child
- There's food involved

Both anime involves kids and the male adult that took care of the kid. At first they both doesn't know how to deal with the kid but in the end they found what they're looking for.The difference is the kid in Udon no Kuni Kiniro Kemari is a boy meanwhile in the other is a girl.
Amaama tells the story of the father to take care of his daughter meanwhile in Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari the boy doesn't have any relationship with the main character
