Although Saiki is an esper and Sakamoto is not, both characters turned out to be surrounded by people who becomes enchanted by their abilities in school and eventually into their personal life.

overpowered/overqualified main character who tries to be normal ,deals with troubles in a super comical way which makes you like them

Basically the same type of humor, where the main character is overpowered and has a great influence on his class, while his classmates are totally unaware of it. Both are full of absurd, yet wacky and unexpected situations.

Super funny.

The style of humor and comedy is very similar (over-the-top and hilariously exaggerated). Both MC's are "perfect" in everything that they do, to a superhuman level.

- Deadpan protagonist. Deadpan to the extreme. - Gag comedy with a rough premise and wild happenings. - School setting. Gakurans. Sakamoto is outrageous but is very quiet and does not retort much. Saiki on the other hand, is silent in setting but has a very consistent tsukkomi-ing internal voice.

They have the same type of comedy, both mc are op, and both are pretty funny to watch.

Comedy, full of gags and very entertaining to watch

Both animes have a very similar form of comedy - generally light, slightly dry and neither take themselves too seriously. Alongside the comedy, both have enjoyable soundtracks, interesting characters (though minor apart from the mc), and pretty high quality artwork!

School life of overpowered protagonists with weird friends

When watching Saiki K, I was immediately reminded of Sakamoto desu ga? because the humour is so similar. They both feature jokes and skits that involve the side characters who are for some reason obsessed with the protagonist. The antics of both shows are really silly and rather than labelling them as comedies, I'd say that they're both 'gag' anime.

Both feature weird and funny school scenarios with an extremely funny main character.

Both have the same type of comedy style. The MC's are both cool and you could say they both have some sort of powers.

Both are hilarious. Both Mc's are "perfect" Just go watch the show. I gaurantee that you'll enjoy it.

Two cool and calm characters who have basically supernatural powers work, in small ways, to alleviate situations around them, and end up with their own fan armies.

Saiki and sakamoto deal with the same sort of situations with a similar attitude, just with completely different methods. If we could hear sakamoto's thoughts like we can saiki, they would probably be very similar. I wouldnt be surprised if sakamoto was a psychic as well lol.

Both are comedy shows where the main character consistently avoids terrible situations.

→ Gary Stu-type MC in a school setting, the only difference is that Saiki has psychic abilities (where Sakamoto only seems to have them). → Everyday situations turned hilarious, the difference being that Sakamoto might be a little more outrageous(ly funny) in some situations than Saiki. → MC attracts every character around them but doesn't outwardly show that they care for anyone. → Both shows are quite funny and mindless enjoyment.

Wanna see a perfect emotionless student that tries to behave normally but still gets friends in dangerous situations thanks to their incredible powers/abilities while being in a gag comedy anime that never takes itself seriously? Well Saiki and Sakamoto are easy choices for you

Both MC are good at everything they do, and both shows are very funny :) I've felt a few similarities and I spent a great time watching these, I hoped they were longer

Both series feature a deadpan protagonist who is seen by everyone else to be like a God, but they just want to be normal. They both deal with problems in an unexpected way and have a certain type of unpredictable humor that is entertaining to watch.

Do you like your typical anime high school setting? Do you also happen to enjoy comedy? One last thing, do you, by any chance, enjoy funny, nonchalant, super-intelligent, cool main characters? Well, I've got what you're looking for. Both these shows are hilarious, and the main characters sell the poker face gesture n the most humorous of events. If you think you've seen it all, well, you haven't. You'll find the most outlandish and eccentric actions humanly possible yet performed in the most unpredictable way imaginable. If you wanna laugh, but I mean really laugh your ass off, trust me--watch them!

The main characters have a very similar vibe. Both a school setting, but Sakamoto is more of a 'perfect' student that people try to sabotage, and Saiki K is more of a down-to-earth kinda guy

~full of gags and a good humor. ~entertaing to watch. ~both protagonists are defination of "perfect". ~how MC deals with daily life situations .

- both shows have a main character that is very well loved and talented in many ways - they both show barely any emotion - surrounded by friends that they barely show any care for but do care for deep down.
report Recommended by kiroban
Both are comedy animes with protagonist atracting the cast effortlessly(?).
