Mayoiga is marketed as a horror however it can be watched as a comedy, similar to Ousama Game.
The atmosphere is dark and edgy in both shows, however, Mayoiga is less serious.
Both shows are in the mystery genre and neither show tries to explain the supernatural events in a comprehensive way.

These two anime are hilarious in how incompetent they are in terms of writing, direction, characters, animation etc. etc. There is literally no logic or common sense used by the characters throughout the show and they both end up being a hot mess of poor character motivations, pacing, and crappy "horror".
These two are easily the best "So bad it's good" anime out there and the ultimate entertainment for just switching off your mind for 12 episodes and enjoying the ride.

Both anime feature a large set of cast having psychological warfare with one another.
Both anime are also supposed to be a psychological/suspense, but ended up being a comedy.
