The main characters are obviously similar in their quest for sleep/listlessness. They both care mainly just about being cozy and most of the humor comes from their drive to achieve this, and the way that the supporting cast responds to them is what drives the jokes home. Similar humor throughout. If you enjoy one, you will certainly enjoy the other.
Sleep is the most important thing in life.
Both MC's hobbies at this point could be said to be "sleeping".
There is a difference in setting and comedy used where Tanaka-kun is very laid back and warming whereas Maoujou can get very slapstick yet vibrant but both are surrounded by an interesting group of characters.
Regardless, both MC's will do anything just to get their sleep.

Both mc loves sleeping
Each episode involves comedy and laziness
The side characters are always worry of them
Both the main characters are quite similar
#both the Mc trying to find peace and sleep both are talented for sleeping too
But in maoujou the story takes place in a demon castle and in tanaka the story takes place in a peaceful slice of life atmosphere
both MCs will do anything to protect their "sleep"
both MCs only cares about the quality of their "sleep"
both MCs seems to be apathetic to their surroundings
both MCs make the other side casts worry about them in one way or another
