Both are politic dramas that focus on the world's response to supernatural events. The introduction of a supernatural/sci-fi person in the world presents new ideology and debates with politicians. The philosophies for the ideal societies in either show are very speculative and based on the writer's opinion rather than believable concepts rooted in reality.
They are written by the same man. While each start with an intruiging premise, their endings take a pseudo-philosophical turn. Babylon ends on a more disappointing note, to say the least.

Very intriguing starts with interesting premises that get more and more complicated with time, dealing with political intrigues on a worldwide scale, but that lose focus or change completely the concept of what it was and has no idea how to end its conflicts.
Written by the same person.
Kado - The repercussions of a first encounter, with focus on technology and what could be right or wrong, but that becomes black and white by the end.
Hard Sci-Fi/Magical Girl
Babylon - Focus on thriller, mystery, twists and shock, then later on (awkward)discussions of right and wrong about an obvious "dilemma".
Mystery/Drama/Schlock
