While those anime seems to have to be completely different on the surface, both of those titles have protagonists, who are aspiring to be The Best in given field (hero/supermodel) despite lacking the very basic and essential trait or talent.
Both main characters are exceptionally stubborn in achieving their goals despite others telling them it's futile.
