They both include a lot of product placement.
While Dagashi Kashi covers the area around Japanese sweets, Takunomi covers the area around Japanese drinks (alcoholic liquors).
Both have no real "story" but put the product placement in the foreground.
While Takunomi has a very agressive and straightforward product placement, where they zoom on the alcoholic drinks and show them in fullscreen, Dagashi Kashi has a funnier (in my opinion better) approach of product placement, that shows (among others) incarnated sweets.
Both shows focus on trying new things, with each Dagashi Kashi episode introducing a new dagashi & Takunomi introducing a new beer each episode.
