Both of the main characters have the ability to go back and change the past in order to save their beloved person. They keep going through endless loops to gain the destiny they desire. Both very emotional and the MC goes through lots of changes in terms of maturity/character development
MC uses the ability to go back in time in order to save the ones he loves.
If you liked one of them and want to watch something similar, then there's a high chance you will like the other one.

Both have the protagonist attempting to save his friends multiple times through the use of time travel. The MC suffers psychologically through multiple horrific events. The difference being Fantasy vs School

Basically an anime where they can rewrite their life. They try and find a better result for their future, where they can go back in time if they needed to by doing the things that would trigger the time leap to happen

Despite having different scenarios and settings I love the part of the main character not giving up and retrying to get things right while suffering. Both of these series have the main character trying to fix something that already has happened.
Reversing time gimmick. Both mc's cry a lot and give off the same weak vibe. The mc's also have similar goals(save everyone). Seem to have separate arcs
-both the mc time travel to save someone or multiple people
- they have lovable characters
Time travel-ish premise and the writing makes viewers feel very hopeless at times as if there were no solutions available.
Both shows aren`t really similar at story or genre, but Takemichi and Subaru are very similar protagonists, both have the power to time travel in time, which is more of a torture for them, also both are weak at fighting so mostly they get beated by the other characters, also both have the same motivation of saving a girl (Hinata in case of Takemichi, and depending of the situation Rem or Emilia for Subaru)
Same concept, protagonist (and his emotions, feelings and development) and even execution but in different setting. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish between the two.

Tokyo Revengers and Re:Zero are similar because they both a main character that dies and goes back in time to save another person.

Definitely the best time-travel anime out there, no cap. The shows are about a guy saving his waifus/bros from dying. The show also has great side characters and main characters.
Time travel related - Tokyo Revengers has currently have one season, season two will be released on January 2023 and the manga is finished! Worth the watch! In both shows the mc goes through some stuff so be prepared :)
Both involve time traveling to save others (mostly because of a girl or the MC's closest friends). As an isekai however it involves harem and simps and the usual isekai stuff, but its story is also good and will have you hooked.
