Both series star a group of girls with very different personalities who meet each other on their first day of school and become friends.
In both cases, the protagonist has a special trait that negatively affects their otherwise mundane life. In the case of Anne Happy it is An's luck and in Slow Start, it is Hana's later than usual high school enrollment.
The art style of this anime is very similar to Anne Happy
