Both female mc's are examples of a strong and independent woman. This show immediately came to mind when I watched Arte's first episode.

The setting of these two anime is at a time beck when there is no modern gadget or transportation. The main character of these two anime is a girl and has a polite attitude, the hairstyle is also alike.
The heroines in the story have a drive for independance that is quite remarkable. They had the chance numerous time to give up for a simpler and easier life but their independance was too important. If you like a strong woman that defies stereotypes go watch the anime. They also have similar scenery with both set up in a medieval/renaissance kinda world
-set in a more renaissance era
-MC female has a strong personality and talent she is willing to prove
I will say the romance is very different, but overall still cute and feel-good. Very underrated anime. Manga is also fantastic if you want to continue the story.

Not super similar, but have the same feeling to them. Arte definitely has a lot less romance. Both very good

Both of these anime are hidden gems. If you like the adventure-esque and fantasy setting of Shirayukihime, you will love it in Arte. Though the plotlines are different, they both star a feminine yet headstrong and confident female lead. The animation feels very familiar to each other. Plot pacing in Arte is slower than Shirayuki, because Arte is calmer and more focused on character development than plot.
