These thriller series have twisted games. In Kaiji, most of them are based on intelligence and strategy, made to reduce Kaiji's debts or just to survive, but in Death Parade they are made to choose if a person goes to heaven or hell, depending on his or her behaviour during the game (and during his or her whole life). All of this implies a great psychological background. Also, that suspense atmosphere made in Madhouse.

These shows both revolve around playing games. In both cases, these games are often very high stakes, usually involving the fate of those involved. They are very good at throwing your expectations out the window, hitting curve balls left and right. They also both have excellent soundtracks and art styles. Lots of tension, mystery, and atmosphere in both.

Both are thrillers that show a dark side of people through rare games by trying to win despite that means crushing the adversary, also both are about bad relation between people (betrayal and cheating) . Good animation and soundtrack

Both have a game aspect. As in Death Parade the person hosting the game stays the same in "Gaykkyou Burai Kaiji" the player stays the same. Both are about losing and winning, and about life and death If you liked one I highly recomend the other!

While both shows may seem to have nothing in common on the first sight, their themes may be similar at times. I am mainly associating with the first and a part of the second arc in the first season of Kaiji. Both shows deal with people in different situations, push them over the limit, and see how they react to it. They are both animated by Madhouse, so the animation perfectly matches the moments. So if you enjoyed Death Parade, there is a big chance you will enjoy Kaiji, especially the first season, while the second is also very good.

Both anime's have games where they gamble for their lives. They also are both really good, and depict real human emotion really well.
