Both shows are Isekai animé about a person who ends up being his own gaming avatar, which happens to be a skeleton, and ended up in another world.

Both MCs are normal people transported to another wolrd as their game character which happens to be a skeleton. They have the same skills and powers from the game they used to play and are more powerful than the norm.

OP Mc s, skeleton caracters, makes friends on their story, satisfying to watch.
A lot of similarities.
Both have that Death kind of illustration, where both characters were trapped in a game they're playing and have no idea how to get out....while Overload has a MC who plays both sides of the fence, in Gaikotsu, the MC there is an adventurer through and through, Overlord has both lackies and a harem while Gaikotsu only has a 2 girl harem.

Both are isekai and MCs finds themselves stuck in a RPG game world. Their MC's have incredible god like powers and a nice harem. Arc (Gaikotsu's MC) looks like Ainz's (Overlord's MC) adventurer identity. They're a little gory too. And most obvious similarity is the fact that MC's are undead (skeleton?).
Differences about the animes are;
1. Ainz is a antagonist (villain) but in the other hand Arc is a protagonist (hero).
2. Ainz is an serious character if you don't think about It's inner-voice or smth but Arc is just a clown dude, lol. Actually this can be a similarity too. Sometimes Arc is being serious too,

2. Protagonist have henchmen from both sides of the fences, and they have no idea about it.
3. Protagonist still plays the Virgin Card, even though he can do his harem from both sides.

You can't tell me that Arc doesn't remind you of Ainz Ooal Gown, the MC of Overlord if you are unfamiliar. Both individuals are op and can cause destruction if they are so inclined.

In both shows main character gets transported in the fantasy videogame in the body of living skeleton
Both anime are strikingly similar being both Momanga and Arc were transported into their "op" video game characters and they're both undead of course. The key difference is that Ainz just wants to take over while Arc is pretty much just a hired arm. If you like overlord you will surely like Skeleton Knight in another world.
