The begin is almost the same: young schoolgirls who can see spirits and other creatures of Japanese folklore that are invisible for the other humans. These spirits are often mischievous and the girls despise them. But Pupipo! is almost superficial and parodic with random things, while Mokke is more deeper about the spirits. Finally, Pupipo! is more hilarious, while Mokke is more staid and balanced.
