Both deal with themes involving memories, and additionally both are romance/dramas.
However, ef: memories tells two stories at once, and is set in something resembling the present, while Plastic Memories is set in the distant future and tells only one story at a time.
Nevertheless both are great shows, and share themes involving memories.
