Both series present the lives of up and coming female stars in the Japanese entertaining industry. Sore ga Seiyuu is about the insides of the seiyuu industry, such as voice acting, units, etc. Comic Girls is more focused in the manga industry and the processes of making manga.
Both main characters have anxieties and big confidence issues because they don't know if they're gonna be stars at all, Futaba for SgS and Kaos-chan for CG. Futaba and Kaoruko have great female friends who support each other to consolidate themselves in their respective industries.
