The biggest similarity is probably the way they block people out. Mc here sees them as scare crows and the a silent voice MC sees them with X's over their faces.

A Silent Voice and A Whisker Away don't have the same plot, but they both give off a similar feel in their dramatic archetype associated with school romance movies. Both characters also have this coping mechanism of distorting people into some other form the imagination has created for them.
Both are very good drama anime movies with Silent Voice being much more dramatic than Whisker Away's drama.

This title is similar to Koe no Katachi because it really hit me in the feels quite like the movie did and to me the entire vibe of the movie felt quite like Koe no Katachi except mystical, if that makes sense? I'm not sure lol but you should definitely watch both of these wonderful movies!
