The female character completely changes the life of the male character in the story. Male characters change throughout the story from the beginning to the end of the movie.
Sure, watching this movie will make you cry and change your view of seeing life, because the thread that separates life and death is questioned.
Importantly, people can change the lives of others completely, and the animation shows it.

Both male main characters at the beginning of the film are socially detached from the world until they meet the main female character- both with a health problem. Both films revolve about friend ship and the meaning of living.
Both are Movies with God Tier art style!
Both have MC that doesnt give a darn about society
Both have almost the same concept but differs in many ways, Main Dude is ignorant about society and then they suddenly met a girl who at first they thought "Eh, Just another one of these, ill forget about her later." but then unknowingly made a deep connection to the girl and actually enjoys to be with her.
If you like crying or a heavy amount of feels then both of these films have that.
Both movies have a string message about doing the most you can in life and some of the struggles certain people have to live with.
They both are drama anime with hints of romance here and there. Both also have the male lead who doesn't really try to make that many friends and keeps to themselves, and then they both have the female lead who have disabilities or diseases that they need to live through each day.
These two films are really amazing and also have pretty visuals and nice soundtracks

Feelings, sad side, tear maker, beautiful characters, the story from the perspective of an apparently bad character.
If you liked "Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai"\"i want to eat your pancreas" so you will love this one more, and it will make you cry from the things written up.
enjoy it
Both Movies Feature a relationship between two people. Both have a wonderful story about how two people grow and learn how to work with each other. Not existing separately but together.
They are both a drama/romance about a person with a disability and they are both quite sad.

"A Silent Voice" & "I Wanna Eat Your Pancreas" are the only anime movies that honestly made me cry till now. Two of the very few films that had a huge impact on me for a long time. They belong to the MUST WATCH category. They'll break your heart for sure but you'll also get to learn a lot from them! I rewatched the former 5 times within a week & also read the manga (which was my first time reading a manga!). It's like I have an obsession with these two.

While both animes explore the premise of the dynamic between an anti-social male tsundere protagonist and a diseased/disabled female deuteragonist , they handle the setup and development of the story a little differently.
While Silent Voice puts a fresh and new feeling to the entire story by dealing with bullying and disability in a way rarely seen before, I Want To Eat Your Pancreas takes a more predictable approach, however, knowing of its predictability and using it to its advantage.
They could definitely be considered tearjerkers, though reducing it to that shows a lack of understanding them.
Different approaches yet if you watched one, you should watch the

Both are dramas with a romantic subtext and a character with a disability. The main male characters are socially awkward but unintentionally makes a connection with a female character. Both moviss are really unique and sad. It tells you of people's struggles and the value of life.
These are both about the mc getting heartbroken and then over it,

Similar (focus on) emotional beats and tone/atmosphere.
Setting/Genre- Relatively down-to-earth Japanese high school drama/romance/tragedy.
Both deal with interpersonal relationships, particularly social isolation, life/death/mortality/existentialism, and novelty/experience/perception.

Both have a quiet socially withdrawn boy and a girl that makes him happy.
Both are very emotional and can easily make the emotionally fragile cry.

In my opinion, both of these animes are masterpieces as if you have watched either one of them you would instantly understand why. I want to eat your pancreas and A silent voice both have these gut wrenching scenes that can change the way you think about life. These anime movies are life changing so go watch them!
