In both series', there is a more wholesome approach to the romance genre, rather than being filled with complicated drama. Both shows are also heavily focused on the romance between the characters

There pretty much the same thing except Ore monogatari only has one relationship
Both stories relate to the formation and the practice of wholesome/loving relationships, and with similar animation styles it's a very comfortable transition to go from one series to the other
