Both these shows excel in being subtle as they do everything so well, they are not loud nor overdramatic in execution, and a sense of calmness prevails while watching them.
Even when it comes to their romantic storylines, they are ever so subtle, and it is just SO beautiful to see it unfold. Gives a sense of realism and immersion to all the interactions that happens.
I truly recommend these two, if you would like to have a new flavor of how anime could excel beyond what has been trendy for the past 15 or so years.
