Both of these anime were produced by Sunrise, both of them frequently break the fourth wall and make excellent use of parodies. Additionally, both anime are surprisingly educational and they're among the most fun anime that I've ever watched!
Wacky shounen battle parody with lots of cult/anime references and plenty of puns.
If barely existent 4th walls, toe-ing the line on copyright lawsuits, and over exaggerated reactions are your kind of humour give Gintama/Yakitate Japan a try.
Gintama is not yet completed despite many "final season"s and a "final film", whereas Yakitate Japan has a clear and definitive conclusion. Though I personally think if you're watching either for only the serious parts and the plot you'll be missing a lot of what makes these shows special.
