Both are romance dramas, though plastic memories is more cheery (as in at the start, I wont spoil, kinda) and pancreas takes a serious approach. These shows both revolve around death and the desire to live before the inevitable doom. If you liked either, or got emotionally attached (F) you'll like the other one :) have a dramatic Friday night

Both anime are similar in the fact that the female mc has a limited lifespan, and as they fall in love it starts getting harder and harder for them to bear with it.

In similarity, both animes share the tragedy of an ending towards the female heroine. While both would drive their audience to burst out in tears during the final moment, "I Want To Eat Your Pancreas" is more of a depressing and tragic type of love. In contrast, "Plastic Memories" is the polar opposite resembling a wholesome yet tragic type of love. "I Want To Eat Your Pancreas" hit me like a bus with their unexpected turn in plot while "Plastic Memories" had an expected ending that was falling like sand in a hourglass.

Time is fragile with every second being of it being precious. Spending it with those who we cherish, love, and making fond memories from it, I felt that both works towards the central theme of 'time is of the essence' or “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” I highly recommend Plastic Memories if you enjoyed Kimi no Suizou Wo Tabetai and the same goes the other way around.

Plastic memories on the other hand, is not that friendship kind of anime. Its more of a sad one from the start. But its still good.

Both anime are very good. Talk about a couple but knew the condition of the opponent that is getting a disease that will make you die after a while. Although the male character knows that she will die, they still spend the time to enjoy the moment with a limited time remaining and make others happy. I won't talk much, you should take a chance to watch Plastic Memories if you watched I Want to eat your pancreas.
