Plastic Memories and Planetarian are based in the future where robots are meshed into normal life with humans to a certain degree. In each show there is a human male protagonist and robotic female who's lifespan is coming to an end. These shows feature the sci-fi/drama genre and add a spin with romance between the main characters. If you enjoyed either show I'd recommend the other for a similar experience.

- A boy meets a robot, who lives to serve humanity . But apparently she has " faults " and may not last forever. - Both are dramatic animes, with touches of science fiction. Which for some may be forced, but for some it can touch their sensitive hearts.

Both are about a future with advanced robots. With only one episode of Planetarian I´m going to say the male MC has feelings to the robot almost like in Plastic Memories. And the most important thing: the feels.

Both involve robots. With very heart felt stories. Planetarian is shorter however just as good as Plastic Memories.

Both anime feature a futuristic sci-fi setting where androids that look and feel like normal humans exist. The male protagonist of both anime end up meeting and eventually befriending an android who is reaching the end of their batteries lifespan. The android in both anime take the appearance of a cute young girl. Lots of dramatic and sad moments, if you enjoyed one of these anime I highly recommend the other.

Aside from Chobits, Plastic Memories makes a very great anime similar to Planetarian. Why? Both of these anime has at least a robot as the main character. Viewers watching both of them can also expect some drama, suspense and tragedy from the said anime, and they both have main characters expressing their feelings towards the said robot. Although don't expect for Planetarian to be a reboot of Plastic Memories since the former is as depressing from the first episodes. But I still highly recommend it!

Both animes is about robots and how they develop "speciel feelings" for a human. If your a person who show theyre feelings easily, this anime will definitely make you cry. If you´ve watched one off the animes i will 100% recommend the other anime for you. Because it has kinda the same concept. Make you have sympathy for the robot. I personally love both animes, so if you want something that will make you cry watch both.

Both tell a tale about the close connection between a human and a machine. Being joined by extraordinary yet grievous unique soundtracks, both are exceptionally sensational and can bring enthusiastic distress and melancholy towards anybody who''ll watch it. So on the off chance that you need to feel tragic and cry, then this series/film is for you.
