Sad boi pilots big robot and sad girls try to help him, but kind of makes it worse. The rebuild series of Eva shares more similarities then the original Eva. Why? Because it takes itself way less seriously then the original, kind of like Darling. Now don't get me wrong it doesn't mean they are bad, it's just that they sometimes lack credibility *cough cough robot s#x cough cough tsundere Asuka cough cough*. But both anime are still very emotional and do not fail at conveying a deeper meaning trough metaphors. Both of their animations are also splendid, true that Darling's better, but that's only
