Vampires and humans. The epic, endless war between different factions and the one(s) working for peace. An incredibly old and powerful vampire... used as comic relief, with a lovable soft side and chill/clumsy attitude.
Greatly alike in terms of story, tropes and art style, both are R-17 series alternating a slower pace to supernatural fight sequences, with blood, drama, a shocking amount of bishounen and sometimes a rather lackluster writing. Trinity Blood takes itself more seriously and revolves around the Vatican, while Noblesse is mostly set at school and often carries a light-hearted feel.
