Ushio to Tora (TV)

Both series have extremly similar protagonist and premise - main character is forced to fight supernatural creatures to protect his friends and family, both are great mix of fight scenes,drama and a little bit of comedy.
Both stories deal about a teenager that obtain supernatural superpowers from an inhuman source (a Shinigami in Bleach and a magical spear in Ushio to Tora) to protect his family from spiritual monsters that the normal people can't see, being assisted by a supernatural buddy (Rukia in Bleach, Tora in Ushio to Tora) and both series have an organization who also hunts these monsters.
The beggining of this animes are very similar:
The main character with your companion/mentor destroying some monstruous creatures arround the city in episodic or 2,3 episodes mini arcs.
In my opinion Bleach beggining are much more similar and inspired with this than with YuYu Hakusho.
After the first arc Bleach turns into a giant one arc series with his ups and downs, but i recomend if you are interested in some good fights without commitment.
Ushio to Tora in my opinion decayed a lot with time but the beginning is still worth it
