Altered Carbon: Resleeved and Gungrave have very different stories, but are focused on the drama between the main character and a criminal syndicate. Gungrave created a fictionalized criminal syndicate whereas Altered Carbon features the yakuza. Unlike live action gangster movies, your choices of gangster anime is more limited and what is available is very stylized. That being said, you should consider watching this anime if you are looking for more anime involving criminal syndicates.
